ORM North Norfolk is based at Shrubbs Farm, Edgefield and was established in 2004. We take green waste from County and District Councils, Skip & Waste Disposal companies and private individuals with the purpose of producing a peat free soil improver. The soil improver is produced to PAS100 accreditation using the EcoPod method.
Composting is a key element of local and central governments’ drive towards sustainable waste management. As such we are audited annually by NSF on this process and drive the highest standards possible.
We screen two grades of compost: Farm Grade and Best Grade – the Best Grade has a finer screener in order to remove slightly denser matter (under 10mm). We also run a 7.5 tonne tipper lorry which enables us to deliver the compost locally. We have a weighbridge on site which accurately records both collected and delivered tonnages to site.
The benefits of our product include:
- Natural nutrients vital to plant health and growth
- Improved soil fertility
- Improved moisture retention
- Break down of heavy clay soils
- Adds humus to sandy soils
- Use as tree and shrub planting mix
- Soil conditioning
